Consortex - European Internationalisation Maritime Consortia

The project Consortex – European Internationalisation Maritime Consortia aims to form at least five export consortia consisting of European interregional SME’s who specialise in the manufacture of certain built-in packages for marine vessels and structures (bridge, engine room, accommodation and deck) including offshore vessels, marine power plants, cruise ships and scientific vessels, to improve their market positioning, sign contracts and make international sales.

Consortex is led by Fórum Maritimo Vasco (FMV) based in Bilbao, and has partners from the five Member States of the Atlantic Area Programme (Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland and UK). With a total budget of 1.6 million euros for two years, this initiative aims to improve the competitiveness of the shipbuilding sector in the Atlantic Area.
